A. HNU Alumni Scholarship Program
* Description
Primarily, the HNU Alumni Scholarship Project is geared towards the giving of financial assistance to underprivileged but highly deserving high school graduates to pursue a degree in HNU which best fits their talents and potentials. Sons and daughters of HNU alumni shall be given priority funding support provided they pass certain qualifying criteria.
Spearheaded by the HNU Alumni Association-Tagbilaran,Inc., the project is coordinated by the HNU Alumni Affairs and Job Placement Office.
* Objectives
▪ To give financial assistance to underprivileged high school graduates
to pursue their college degree in HNU.
▪ To instill to the beneficiaries the values of Christian education, sharing,
and hard work.
▪ To campaign and source out funds from prospective donors, benefactors
and friends.
▪ To engage in fund raising activities in order to sustain the project.
* Selection Criteria
1. Preference are sons and daughters of HNU alumni
2. Combined family income must not exceed Sixty Thousand Pesos (P60,000.00) per annum
3. Preferably a resident of Bohol
4. Beneficiary must not be related within the 3rd degree of consanguinity with any of the current officers of the HNUAA-TI and the Alumni Director
5. Applicant should pass a background check conducted by any member of the HNUAA-TI
6. Applicant should pass a written test and interview
7. Applicant should submit to a physical examination
8. Applicant should submit all application requirements

1. Full load per semester
2. A grade point average of 2.0
3. No failing grade
* Courses Allowed
1. Any 4-year Bachelors Degree Course offered in HNU (Excluding
Nursing and Engineering)

At present, there are seven(7) alumni scholars: the Association takes care of four (4) and High School Classes l966,1967 and 1979 take care of one scholar each.
B. Consumer Advocacy Program
Vision
An Active Partner in Consumer Education and Protection.
Mission
We commit to develop and enhance capabilities to:
Undertake information drive;
Establish linkage and networking;
Monitor prices, quality of products and services, and unfair trade practices;
Conduct policy advocacy; and
Provide legal and para-legal assistance.

CONSUMER WATCH-BOHOL INC. has been organized. Its Board of Directors was inducted to office on May 7, 2009. This organization, although initiated by the HNU alumni, is open to non-alumni and everybody who are interested. Membership is now open. Registration will be at the HNU Alumni Center. A registration of P50.00 is required. Students pay only P25.
