CWBI Holds General Assembly
The Consumer Watch Bohol, Incorporated (CWBI ), a brain child of the Holy Name University Alumni Association-Tagbilaran Incorporated, is an advocacy group that helps the consuming public in protecting their rights as consumers. CWBI held its Second General Assembly last Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the HNU Alumni and Job Placement Office.
During that assembly, reports of the previous year’s accomplishments and financial standing were presented by the President, Mrs. Marietta Corales, and the Treasurer, Ms. Gloria Leodivica Araneta, respectively. The group led by Mr. Jose Nazareno revisited also its vision, mission and goals. The election for this year’s set of officers followed . Re-elected for President is Mrs. Marietta Corales. Other officers that were elected are: Vice President – Jose Nazareno, Secretary – Mrs. Aurora Galos, Treasurer – Ms. Gloria Leodivica Araneta, Auditor – Judge Gervacio Lopena and PRO – Atty. Raul Barbarona. The oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected officers will be at the HNU Alumni Office on March 21, 2011, 5:30 p.m.
The general assembly which was a big success was graced with the presence of Mr. Joe Hibaya of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI ).
